Local Director — Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer

Confidential FSA Licensed Securities DealerMahé, SeychellesCompetitive — commensurate with experiencePosted October 5, 2026
On-site (Seychelles-based or willing to relocate)

About the Role

HRFinEase is recruiting a Local Director for a Seychelles Financial Services Authority licensed Securities Dealer. The director must be resident in Seychelles, meet FSA fit and proper criteria, and have a relevant financial services background. Genuine operational involvement required — not a nominee arrangement.

Requirements

  • Based in Seychelles or willing to relocate and establish residence in Seychelles — mandatory
  • Must pass the Seychelles FSA fit and proper assessment — clean criminal and regulatory record with no adverse findings by any financial regulator
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, investment management, corporate governance, or a related professional field — mandatory
  • Relevant academic or professional qualification — law, finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent
  • Genuine willingness to be actively involved in the governance and oversight of the entity — this is not a nominee directorship
  • Understanding of the Seychelles FSA regulatory framework for Securities Dealers and the obligations it imposes on directors
  • Ability to attend board meetings, respond to FSA requests, and represent the company in Seychelles as required
  • Strong English — written and spoken
  • Experience serving as a director at a regulated financial services entity is a strong advantage
  • No conflicts of interest from other concurrent directorships that would impair independent judgment or time availability

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a local director of the FSA licensed Securities Dealer entity — registered with and approved by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority
  • Participate actively in the governance and oversight of the company — attending and contributing to board meetings
  • Represent the company in Seychelles as required — FSA correspondence, meetings, and inspections
  • Oversee the implementation of the company's compliance, risk management, and operational frameworks from a board governance perspective
  • Review and approve material policies, procedures, business decisions, and regulatory submissions at board level
  • Ensure the company operates in full compliance with its FSA license conditions and Seychelles regulatory obligations at all times
  • Act as a point of accountability to the FSA for the entity's regulatory standing
  • Collaborate with the MLRO / Compliance Officer on AML/CFT governance matters
  • Maintain full awareness of the company's financial position, risk profile, and regulatory standing
